RESIDENCY | From thesis to book writing residencies

The “From Thesis to Book” ARC Linkage Project is a manuscript development partnership between The University of Sydney and Pan Macmillan Australia. Its aim is to produce outstanding, accessible works of non-fiction from manuscripts which began their lives as doctoral theses.

In 2007 the project will award the last of its funded writing residencies to a recent PhD graduate in the humanities and social sciences. The successful applicant will be appointed to the University on a fixed term basis to work on a book manuscript under the mentorship of writer Drusilla Modjeska.

A briefing session on the project and the selection process will be held at The University of Sydney on Friday 11 August 2006. The closing date for applications is Friday 1 September 2006.
