WORD UP : Publishing, Zines + Blogs Workshop
Thursday 9 March 2006, 2pm - 5pm
State Library of SA, Lecture Theatre
The internet and 'do it yourself' publishing are providing opportunities for artists to create their own publishing outlets and channels. With an aim to support critical dialogue, reviews and discussion on contemporary Australian art - a recent surge of blogs, magazines and publications are bringing the work of emerging and younger artists to a wider public. This workshop will focus on strategies for publication for students, emerging artists and recent graduates.

Artists' Week 2006 is curated by Julianne Pierce and will be held at Elder Hall and other venues from March 4 - 8. The Artists' Week 2006 Artist Run Initiative (ARI) workshops are generously assisted by the Helpmann Academy, SA School of Art and Australian Network for Art and Technology.
